ULTRASONIC-RESISTANCE WELDER
The Patent Pending process uses typical Ultrasonic Metal Welding technique for stripping the insulation from the magnet wire then
employs classic Resistance Welding technology to weld or solder reflow connect the wire to a terminal.
The system is specifically designed to fill the gap left between the Ultrasonic Metal Welding magnet wire and Resistance Welding technology.
Ultrasonic Metal Welding can not terminate a wire to a "tinned" terminal, and Resistance Welding can not break thru the magnet wire insulation to perform the weld.
WELTER'S WELDERS bench top unit combines both processes into one compact, efficient and fast unit eliminating the need to strip the magnet wire before terminating it.
The Ultrasonics quickly scrubs thru the insulation and then the Resistance welding unit immediately takes over and welds the wire to a terminal.
Custom Fixturing for each application is required and Welter's Welders has the expertise to design and supply fixturing from one at a time hand loading to high speed automated loading and unloading for high volume applications.
